It’s the end of an era here at ChannelFireball. We’ve had the same logo since the site first went live back in 2009, when Luis announced its launch at Pro Tour Kyoto.
Things went pretty well for LSV in that event, and things have gone pretty well here at the site, as well. The iconic ChannelFireball logo has appeared on sleeves, hoodies, shirts, and a whole lot of Top 8 pictures. But it’s time to move the logo into 2018, and while we’re nostalgic for the old look, we’re sure you’re going to be as excited about the new one as we are.
Updating our logo was a tough task. We knew we had to give it a new, updated, modern look, but still call back to that same style that made CFB feel so familiar to its customers, players and employees.
To that end, we’ve given it a complete overhaul, rethinking the very nature of what “ChannelFireball” even means to those stakeholders. We broke the brand down to its essence, and went through thousands of iterations before we arrived at the perfect choice. There were concept sketches, lots of voting and deliberation, and multiple designers involved. Believe me, it was a long process, but I know you’re going to agree it was worth it.
We landed on a logo that brings CFB into a new decade, adds energy and a modern feel, while preserving just enough of that classic look that screams “ChannelFireball.”
Without further ado, the new and improved logo, and the future of ChannelFireball:
Pretty slick, eh? It gets even better! To commemorate the launch of our new logo, we’re firing off one of our most exciting sales yet. Since it’s the 1st of the month, we’re doing 1% off sitewide all week, starting tomorrow! Stay tuned!
