Deck of the Day – Jund Dragons

It’s been some time since we’ve seen Jund dominate in Standard. Not having a tri-land of their own was tough, but access to multiple fetchlands, in this case Bloodstained Mire and Wooded Foothills, tends to give 3-color decks nearly perfect mana. RB Dragon strategies have had a decent amount of success, often with white as well, but what happens if we add the powerful green Standard cards to the Dragons shell?

Den Protector, Deathmist Raptor, and Nissa, Vastwood Seer is a pretty nice place to start for any deck. If you can add these cards to the BR Dragons shell for free, that’s a pretty enticing offer.

Thunderbreak Regent and Kolaghan, the Storm’s Fury are some extremely powerful Dragons that many opponents struggle to deal with. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—Draconic Roar is one of the best removal spells we’ve ever seen in Standard if you’re able to fully power it. Kolaghan’s Command is a card I look to play with as often as possible as its power level and versatility is tough to match. Throw in some removal spells and some excellent black sideboard cards and Jund Dragons may have what it takes to start winning tournaments!
