Lovin’ all the content guys, even over the holidays. Makes me a loyal viewer. Grats on making it to my bookmark bar.
andrew says: December 26, 2009 @ 6:38 pm
the shakedown was something i hadn’t given much thought to.
i feel like honorable mention might be baneslayer and iona.
great list.
Tuffy says: December 26, 2009 @ 6:39 pm
The graphics were pretty cool.
Tuffy says: December 26, 2009 @ 6:40 pm
Slayer is in m10 obv obv
Banda7 says: December 26, 2009 @ 7:51 pm
I really like these top 8s, keep them coming!

i like the topic and the graphics
Boland says: December 26, 2009 @ 9:11 pm
Nice vid! Really highlights what an influential set Zendikar is proving to be.
Also don’t forget Dredge also got Iona in addition to Crab and Bloodghast! Pretty over-the-top even for a reanimation target
Andy"SC"Wilson says: December 26, 2009 @ 9:16 pm
I really enjoyed this little segment. Some constructive criticism. Show the number with the card; for example show the number 10 with Ravenous Trap, etc.
Anonymous says: December 26, 2009 @ 9:18 pm
It is interesting that only 3 are Rare, and there are no mythics.
ZENDIKAR Top 8 cards for Extended according to LSV.
8. Ravenous Trap (Uncommon)
7. Steppe Linx (Common)
6. Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle (Rare)
5. Vampire Hexmage (Uncommon)
4. Hedron Crab (Uncommon)
3. Bloodghast (Rare)
2. Punishing Fire (Uncommon)
1. Enemy Fetchlands (Rare)
Thanks again Channel Fireball for all of the content. I look forward to more Draft and Deck Testing videos. Holiday sale rocks too!
Anonymous says: December 26, 2009 @ 9:19 pm
that is “Steppe Lynx”
Peter says: December 26, 2009 @ 9:41 pm
Thanks Channel Fireball. Love the content.
Nels9n says: December 26, 2009 @ 10:17 pm
Actually, its a great thing that none of the cards are mythics.
I love these top 8, 10 etc. videos. Great to see the opinion from the pros!
Amarsir says: December 26, 2009 @ 10:42 pm
You clearly weren’t throwing the cards that you named. The illusion is shattered!
Joe says: December 26, 2009 @ 11:05 pm
what is the face at 3:47? about lol
Brian Coghlan says: December 27, 2009 @ 12:08 am
I don’t wear glasses so I’m not sure but Id say he was contorting his face to move his nose to rearrange his glasses because of an itch or uncomfortable slide.

@Joe: It’s as though he saw someone picking their nose.

Loved it and I waiting for more Top8′s…
But don’t you think that Mindbreak Trap should be mentioned somewhere because what will happen if a storm deck pops up?
Scalpelexis says: December 27, 2009 @ 2:18 am
Mindbreak trap is really not played now. There is not much of some super power storm now. At least in extended.
Ultima says: December 27, 2009 @ 7:11 am
Going through frame by frame, at ~1:42 the ‘Vampire Hexmage’ he was supposed to be throwing looks a lot like a Plains.
RandomB says: December 27, 2009 @ 8:40 am
Ofcourse it is a “Plains” :-O , next time at least use the real cards ^^.
But great Effect looks at least like theirs some “work” in the video other than talking down the top 8.
Iona could be mentioned for sure, as it has a bunch of effects in Hypergensis and such, at least a lot more than the Trap card (which is kinda lame anyway).
deathron says: December 27, 2009 @ 9:52 am
nice vid, love all the content during the holidays… but throwing fake cards? really??
Dosa says: December 27, 2009 @ 10:41 am
Nice little vid.
LOL at the comments about not throwing the actual cards…
Come on. Really? You actually care?
Alex M. says: December 27, 2009 @ 2:25 pm
yeah throw real fetchlands around on the game store floor
I agree that Ravenous Trap looks kind of lame… but it’s not like Leyline of the Void wouldn’t have made a comparable list for Guildpact. I don’t really know what my point is, so stfu.
and actually, 7 of the 12 top 8 cards are rare. you may not need 20 fetches for every extended deck but in even a year’s time you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t have the right ones for whatever deck is best at the moment.
Bulldog says: December 27, 2009 @ 3:17 pm
lol at 3:47.
I watched it over and over
Lovin’ the Xmas content, keep it coming!
Brolas says: December 27, 2009 @ 3:54 pm
great video, happy holidays
Bearman says: December 27, 2009 @ 4:28 pm
Hey LSV,
Not about this vid (lovin’ them BTW) but there’s no where I can really post this one. If you scroll down to the proper bottom of the page the most recent link in the Luis Scott-Vargas LIVE! section is July 09. If you aren’t going to use it I’d suggest getting rid, its the only part of this site that looks unprofessional.
Holos says: December 27, 2009 @ 8:31 pm
Just all the looking around and fidgeting makes me cringe.
You should perhaps look into taking a camera speaking class or something. You’d be surprised how much differently it looks just by cutting out all the extra movement.
Great segment nevertheless, keep it up guys.
chris says: December 27, 2009 @ 11:24 pm
speaking of scapeshift, have you guys done any further testing of the deck that will be shown anytime soon?
Gerry T says: December 27, 2009 @ 11:26 pm
What about Blazing Torch? lawl
MH says: December 28, 2009 @ 4:00 am
Excellent.
But while the LSV drafts have shown us what LSV’s cat thinks of certain cards, why not extend (pun intended) that to the magic tv and LSV opinion videos?
Wouldn’t it be nice to end a section with the cat sniffing at cards
Vindicator says: December 28, 2009 @ 1:09 pm
2nd comment is like, retarded. Ppl should really think before they say something….. Baneslayer isnt in Zendikar, Andrew.
Peter C says: December 28, 2009 @ 2:13 pm
ZENDIKARDS LOLOL
Adam says: December 28, 2009 @ 7:19 pm
This was excellent. Great production and nice video work. You guys look very professional.
