So, on the turn where you played the pyromancer post combat, I think you should play it pre combat. You lose to into the roil if he has it. He casts it on your pyromancer with his trigger on the stack. Zero damage, he swings for lethal. Thoughts?

:28.. I’m not sure what tickled me more, the well defined “pffftt,” or the immediate exhale of held breath afterward. The exhale of breath that says, “I could have snuck this past you guys, but I forced it out to demonstrate the dramatic effect that blazing torch will have on the game.”

He can’t use windborn charge at the end as an out because he still has to target one of your guys with it.

Actually… he can’t use Windborne charge at all because you have to target two creatures that you control. However… I do think the possibility of something like Nimbus Wings, however remote, means you should charge in with the pyromancer and force the trade. It’s pretty safe to say he doesn’t have two creatures in his hand (which he would need to survive the next turn… or something like another whiplash trap) so removing that potential out seems much better.

If he plays it pre-combat his opponent can simply kill the puma and bounce a 2 power attacker and take 3.
    And attack for the win.
Or simply block and bounce and throw the torch at face.

He needs his opponent to block and use the torch during combat to survive.
